Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Florida Contractor Network LLC(“Florida Contractor Network”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our Services. We built Florida Contractor Network for professionals, and we are committed to being clear about the data we handle and why.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — name, email, phone, and password.
- Company & professional profile — business name, location (city/state), trades and specialties, services, team size, service areas, licenses, insurance and other documents, and similar business (“firmographic”) details you choose to add.
- Buying interests — the categories of materials, tools, and services your business purchases, which you may provide to improve relevance.
- Content — posts, comments, polls, photos, projects, bids, referrals, reviews, messages, and other content you submit.
- Payment information — for paid plans and ads. Card details are processed by our payment provider; we store only limited information such as card brand and last four digits.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, ads shown and clicked, and actions taken.
- Device & log data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy.
Information from others
- Invitations, referrals, network connections, and project collaborations initiated by other members may include information about you.
2. How we use information
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services.
- Power core features — community, projects, bids, networking, referrals, reviews, and compliance reminders.
- Select and measure advertising shown to members (see Section 4).
- Communicate with you about your account, transactions, security, and updates, and — where permitted — send marketing you can opt out of.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and violations of our policies.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How advertising works
Advertising helps keep core features free. We aim to make ads useful and respectful of your privacy:
- We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
- Advertisers choose targeting criteria (such as trade, buying interest, and city). We match their campaigns to members who fit those criteria — advertisers do not receive your identity simply because you were shown an ad.
- Advertisers receive aggregate performance metrics (such as impressions and clicks). If you choose to click an ad or contact an advertiser, your interaction is shared with them.
4. How we share information
- With other members — according to your profile visibility settings and the features you use (for example, a public profile, a bid you submit, or a post you make).
- With service providers — vendors that host infrastructure, process payments, send email, and provide analytics, under contracts that limit their use of your data.
- With advertisers — in aggregate or as described in Section 3.
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of our members, the public, or us.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We may retain de-identified or aggregated data indefinitely.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your account by using a strong password and keeping your credentials confidential.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access & update — review and edit your profile and account information at any time in the app.
- Profile visibility — control whether your profile is public and what details you share.
- Marketing — opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or your notification settings.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting us, subject to legal retention requirements.
Depending on where you live (including under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights and similar U.S. state laws), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact admin@floridacontractornetwork.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Children’s privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and professionals and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. U.S.-based service
The Services are operated in the United States. If you access them from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
